Presentation of the Online System for the “Youth Initiatives” Funding Programme

The launch of the new online system for the Youth Board of Cyprus’ “Youth Initiatives” Funding Programme now enables all interested applicants to submit their applications electronically.

The new system was presented on 24 November at the Journalists’ House in Nicosia, where experts explained the application process, as well as the system’s objectives and benefits. As highlighted during the presentation, the transition to a digital application process significantly simplifies procedures for applicants, substantially reduces bureaucracy and, at the same time, considerably reduces the use of paper.

The presentation of the new online system for the “Youth Initiatives” Programme was available both in person and online.

The “Youth Initiatives” Programme provides incentives for young people to become more mobile and actively participate in the cultural, sporting, civic and social life of Cyprus. This is achieved through grants for activities implemented by young people and organised groups within the Republic of Cyprus. Such activities may include, for example, book publications, conferences, cultural activities, social and environmental initiatives, educational trips abroad and more.

The Programme aims to encourage the use of non-formal and informal learning methods and to contribute to the development of active citizens through volunteering.

The new online system will be available to applicants from the next application round.
