FAQ’s

When should I submit my application?

Once you have decided which of the Youth Board of Cyprus Funding Programmes best suits your needs, it is important to check the relevant application deadlines to ensure that your application is submitted on time.

For example, if you intend to apply under the Youth Initiatives Programme and plan to implement your activity in August, you must submit your application within the deadline specified in the Programme Guide, namely between 10 April and 16 May.

Please note that these deadlines are indicative and may be revised from time to time. Therefore, once you have determined the planned implementation period of your activity, you should always consult the relevant Programme Guide to confirm the applicable application deadline.

Applications must be submitted exclusively online through the Funding Programmes online system (https://funding.onek.org.cy/)

Applications submitted by any other means (e.g. by email) will not be accepted for consideration.

Yes. You can watch a step-by-step video guide on how to submit an online application through the Funding Programmes online system by clicking here. The video is divided into nine parts, all of which are listed in the video description, allowing you to navigate directly to the section that is most relevant to you.

Yes. You may submit an application provided that, at the time of submission, you are between 13 and 35 years of age, that is, before your 36th birthday.

Once you have been notified that your activity has been approved for funding, you may proceed with its implementation.

This option is available through the Funding Programmes online system (https://funding.onek.org.cy/) under the “My Applications” menu. You can also view the approved budget for your project in detail under the “My Approved Projects” menu.

Please note that the deadline for submitting the Final Report is calculated from the activity implementation date stated in your application, not from the date on which you begin implementing the project.

Yes. If you need to change the implementation date of your activity, you must notify the Funding Programmes Service in advance by submitting an amendment request through the Funding Programmes online system (https://funding.onek.org.cy/), before the implementation date originally stated in your application.

The Funding Programmes Service will assess your request and notify you whether it has been approved or rejected. If your request is approved, the online system will be updated automatically to reflect the new implementation date of your activity.

You should declare income in your application only if you are certain that it will be received. If you are not certain, you should not include it in the income section of your application.

Once your activity has been completed, you must submit your Final Report through the Funding Programmes online system (https://funding.onek.org.cy/), together with all the required supporting documents, including:

  • invoices and receipts;
  • promotional material displaying the Youth Board of Cyprus logo;
  • the activity programme;
  • photographs; and
  • details of any income generated by the activity.

The Final Report and all supporting documentation must be submitted within 40 calendar days of the activity’s completion date.

You will receive an automatic reminder 7 days before the deadline for submitting your Final Report.

This means that the reminder will be sent:

  • 33 days after the implementation date of the activity for the Youth Initiatives Programme (40-day submission deadline); and
  • 28 days after the implementation date of the activity for the Youth and the World and Green Volunteering Programmes (35-day submission deadline).

Please note that the reminder will be sent only if the status of your application is “In Progress” and you have already marked your project as under implementation in the online system, as described in the section “My application has been approved. When can I start implementing my activity?”
